GloryBound Beginner Guide: Pick, Train and Equip First
A beginner's route through GloryBound: choose your Gladiator, Lancer or Archer class, build strength in the gym, swear Gladiator's Oath, equip early chest loot like the Centurion Lorica, and step into the Colosseum wave-survival loop.
Quick answer
Before your first Colosseum run in GloryBound, get four things done: pick a class in the 'Choose your path' popup, build strength at the gym's bench press, swear Gladiator's Oath in the skill tree, and open a chest in the stone hall to equip your first armor. Then jump into the arena for wave survival.
- Pick a class on starting: Gladiator (sword and shield), Lancer (spear) or Archer (bow)
- Train at the gym bench press: press E fast and keep hitting Push to fill the Strength 0 / 50 bar
- Swear Gladiator's Oath with 1 skill point: +1% damage, +1% max health, and it opens the Gladius, Scutum and Fortuna branches
- Open a Rare chest and click Equip: the Centurion Lorica chestplate adds +4 Vitality and +20 Max HP instantly
- Head into the arena: monster and undead waves, squads of 4, and pick a boon after each round per the game's own tip
Getting into GloryBound
GloryBound — listed on Roblox as [BRSK] GloryBound by SphereX Studio — is a gladiator arena survival game inspired by Ancient Rome. The premise is a classic rise-from-nothing story: you escape prison, fight through the Colosseum and rise as a legendary Roman warrior.
The experience officially released on Roblox on September 29, 2026, is rated Mild (Ages 9+), and plays on PC, mobile, tablet and console. To start, search '[BRSK] GloryBound' in Roblox, select the game and hit Play. Servers hold up to 12 players, so the arena you enter is a shared one.

The first minute of a recorded run shows the whole lobby route this guide walks through — opening a chest and equipping the gear, swearing the Oath in the skill tree, a bench-press session and the class pick:

Pick your class in the 'Choose your path' popup
Your first real decision arrives immediately: on starting, a 'Choose your path' popup shows three class cards, each with its trait text and a Choose button. The three classes play distinctly:
| Class | Weapon | Combat style |
|---|---|---|
| Gladiator | Sword and shield | Solid defense in close combat |
| Lancer | Spear | Longer reach |
| Archer | Bow | Striking from a distance |
Once you confirm a choice, your character holds that class's weapon and the class info appears in the top-right HUD, so you can always check what you are running mid-session. If you want a deeper read on any option before committing, the GloryBound classes overview and the individual Gladiator, Archer and Lancer guides break each one down.
Build strength in the gym
The gym is where you prepare before the arena. The bench-press station uses the interaction prompt 'Press E fast' with an on-screen Push button — each push drives a 'Strength 0 / 50' progress bar, so settle in and keep hitting Push to work through it.
The training hall holds more than the bench, too: a 'SPARRING PIT' doorway, a barbell rack with floating 'Grab a barbell!' guidance text, other stations showing multipliers such as '1.5x', and a visible 'REBIRTH SHRINE' area. Training is one of the game's own listed pillars — the official description puts it simply: 'TRAINING: Build strength in the gym.' For the full hall, see the GloryBound gym and strength training pages.
Swear Gladiator's Oath in the skill tree
Open the Skill tree screen and you will find a single core node waiting: 'Gladiator's Oath' (Rank 0/1), described as 'Swear the oath to open the three paths.' Spending one skill point on it — click 'Unlock 1 point', then 'Confirm 1 point' — marks the node 'Mastered' and grants +1% damage and +1% max health.
The oath matters beyond those two stat lines: it opens the tree's three branches, Gladius, Scutum and Fortuna, which is where your build choices really begin. The full tree is mapped in the GloryBound skills guide.
Open a chest and equip your first armor
Before you fight, gear up. Chests sit in the stone halls of the lobby — one labeled 'Rare chest' opens straight from the floor into a loot popup showing a 'Rare chestplate' named Centurion Lorica with +4 Vitality and +20 Max HP. Click Equip in the popup and the change is instant: the button flips to 'Equipped', the armor appears on your character model, and a '+20 Health' indicator floats up.
That Rare piece is just the start of the collection — loot in GloryBound ranges from Common to Mythic rarity. For what drops and how the tiers compare, see the chests, loot guide and rarity guide pages.
Join the Colosseum wave-survival loop
With a class chosen, strength trained, the oath sworn and armor equipped, you are ready for the loop the game is built around: after training, players jump into the arena to fight waves of monsters and undead hordes, with boss fights against the War Lion, Undead Brute and Cerberus waiting along the way.
You do not have to survive alone. Squads of 4 can team up, and downed allies can be revived to keep a run alive. Between rounds, follow the game's own loading-screen tip — 'Pick a boon after each round to shape your build' — and keep stacking the armor sets, skills and boons you unlock as you progress. Weapons and armor drop from Common to Mythic, so every run feeds your collection.
Two systems sit beyond your first sessions. Rebirth lets you break your limits and chase a spot in the Hall of Fame, and once you have conquered the arena, hardcore mode unlocks as the ultimate challenge. The waves guide, bosses, squads guide, reviving teammates, boons, rebirth and hardcore mode pages take each of these further.
One last shortcut: the experience's description points new players to its Discord for codes, and our maintained GloryBound codes page keeps the current list.
