GloryBound Chests Guide: Chest Types, How to Get an Epic Chest, and What's Inside

Last updated:

GloryBound chests explained: what chest types exist, how to get an Epic chest from codes like BERSERKER and BOSS, and exactly what happens when you open one.

GloryBound chests come in different rarities, and your first Epic one doesn't have to cost anything.

Quick answer

GloryBound chests are reward containers that come in rarities such as Rare, Epic and Legendary. You can get an Epic chest free by redeeming the codes BERSERKER and BOSS, and a Rare chest can be opened directly from the floor of the stone hall. Opening a chest shows a loot popup with the item and its stat bonuses, and an Equip button applies the gear on the spot.

  • Epic chest: the reward for both the BERSERKER and BOSS codes
  • Rare chest: found labeled 'Rare chest' in the stone hall and opened with no purchase or unlock step
  • Loot popup: shows the item, its rarity and stat bonuses such as +4 Vitality and +20 Max HP
  • Equip button: equips the item immediately — the armor appears on your character and the health gain floats up

What chests give you

In GloryBound, chests contain valuable rewards like weapons, gear, cosmetics and pets. Rarity is what makes the difference: opening a higher-rarity chest, such as an Epic or Legendary one, grants rare items that boost your character's stats and strength — the kind of upgrades that help you survive tougher battles against monsters and other players in the arena.

Two things about the chests themselves are worth knowing before you chase one. First, the exact item pool and drop chances for each chest type aren't spelled out in the game's public descriptions, so treat rarity as the promise: the higher the chest, the rarer and stronger the items it holds. Second, Legendary chests are named as a top tier, but no available source describes how to actually obtain one — for now, the Epic chest is the highest tier you can reliably go get yourself. The rarity guide breaks down how the tiers compare.

How to get a chest

Epic chests from codes

One documented way to get an Epic chest is code redemption. Recent chest codes BERSERKER and BOSS were each reported to award an Epic chest, while UPDATE was reported to give 1k Cash rather than a chest — useful if you want money, but it won't get you loot. Code availability changes over time, so check the GloryBound codes page for the current working list and each code's reported status before you enter one.

The Rare chest in the stone hall

You don't need a code for every chest. GloryBound's lobby and training area has a chest labeled "Rare chest" sitting in the stone hall, and it can be opened directly from the floor — no purchase, key or unlock step appeared before it opened in the recorded run. If you see it, you can open it on the spot.

What happens when you open a chest

The recorded opening of the stone-hall chest shows exactly what the flow looks like:

The full video stays available on YouTube.

  1. You open the "Rare chest" right where it stands on the floor.
  2. A loot popup appears showing what you received — in that run, a "Rare chestplate" named Centurion Lorica with +4 Vitality and +20 Max HP.
  3. Clicking Equip in the popup equips the chestplate immediately: the button flips to "Equipped", the armor appears on your character model, and a "+20 Health" indicator floats up to confirm it.

The Equip step is the convenient part: the loot popup doubles as the equip screen, so you can go from a chest on the floor to wearing the gear without ever opening a separate inventory menu. The example above is one observed chest — a Rare chestplate from the stone-hall chest — so the specifics (item name, rarity, stats) depend on the chest you open and its rarity tier.

If you're just starting out, redeem the Epic chest codes first, then follow the beginner guide to put those stat boosts to work.
