GloryBound Rarity Guide: What Common, Rare and Mythic Mean
Which GloryBound weapon and armor rarity tiers are confirmed between Common and Mythic, what the labels mark, and how to read a new drop.
Quick answer
GloryBound's weapons and armor officially span a rarity range 'from Common to Mythic'. Common and Mythic are the confirmed bottom and top of that range, and Rare is a confirmed tier in between — it appears in-game on a 'Rare chest' and the 'Rare chestplate' it contained. No other middle tiers are confirmed by the available in-game evidence.
- Common — confirmed lowest tier of the equipment rarity range
- Rare — confirmed intermediate label, observed on actual loot
- Mythic — confirmed highest tier of the equipment rarity range
What the rarity label means in GloryBound
Every weapon and armor piece you collect in GloryBound, the Roblox gladiator survival game by SphereX Studio, belongs to a rarity system that runs from Common to Mythic. The label marks which tier of that range a piece of equipment sits at, and you see the rarity label in the loot popup when a chest opens — that is where the game shows a new drop's rarity and stats.
The game's official description of its loot system states the range as a whole: collect weapons and armor "from Common to Mythic." That tells you where the ladder starts and ends, but it does not publish a full tier-by-tier list of everything in between.
The confirmed rarity tiers
| Tier | Status in GloryBound |
|---|---|
| Common | Confirmed — the lowest named tier of the official loot range |
| Rare | Confirmed — an intermediate label seen on a chest and an armor piece in-game |
| Mythic | Confirmed — the highest named tier of the official loot range |
Beyond these three, the available evidence does not confirm which other tiers exist between Common and Mythic. GloryBound's official description states only the Common-to-Mythic range, not the tiers in between, so treat any complete tier list — including per-tier percentages or stat multipliers — as unverified unless you can see the label on an actual drop in game.
Rare in practice: the Centurion Lorica
The clearest look at an intermediate rarity comes from the stone hall. A chest labeled Rare chest can be opened directly from the floor. When it opens, the loot popup shows a Rare chestplate named Centurion Lorica with two stat bonuses: +4 Vitality and +20 Max HP.
That single observed drop tells you three useful things:
- "Rare" is a real label, not just a word. It appears both on the chest itself and on the armor piece inside it, so the tier name travels with the loot from container to item.
- The popup is where you read an item's rarity. The item name is shown with its rarity label and its stat bonuses together, so one screen tells you what you got and how strong it is.
- One example is not a rule. This specific chestplate has these exact stats; the same clip did not show other chest or item rarities. It does not prove that every Rare chestplate comes with +4 Vitality and +20 Max HP, or that chest tiers and gear tiers match one-for-one across the whole rarity range.

How to read a new piece of gear
The flow for a fresh drop is the same one the Centurion Lorica went through. When a chest opens, a loot popup displays the item's name — with its rarity label attached — and its stat bonuses. From there you can act immediately:
- Read the popup. The rarity label on the item name tells you which tier of the Common-to-Mythic range the piece belongs to, and the listed bonuses tell you what it grants.
- Click Equip. The button flips to 'Equipped', the armor is applied to your character model, and a floating health gain confirms the bonus is live — for the Centurion Lorica, '+20 Health' floats over your character.
So when a new drop appears, the rarity question answers itself on the popup screen: the label is printed right next to the item's name. If it says Rare, you are holding a confirmed intermediate-tier piece; if you ever see a label other than Common, Rare or Mythic on a drop, that tier's existence is confirmed the moment you can read it in game.
Rarity is only one part of gearing up. For where chests spawn and what they hold, see the GloryBound chests guide and the GloryBound loot guide, or start from the GloryBound beginner guide to see how early drops fit into your first runs.
