GloryBound Bosses: Every Boss and How to Prepare

Last updated:

GloryBound has three boss fights — the War Lion, Undead Brute and Cerberus. See where they fit in the arena survival loop and how to prepare before you face them.

Quick answer

GloryBound has three boss fights: the War Lion, the Undead Brute and Cerberus. They are the marquee challenges of the game's gladiator arena survival loop — you fight through the Colosseum's deadly waves first, then face the bosses to earn better rewards and prove your skill.

  • War Lion
  • Undead Brute
  • Cerberus

GloryBound is a gladiator arena survival game inspired by Ancient Rome: you escape prison, fight through the Colosseum and rise as a legendary Roman warrior. The boss fights sit at the peak of that run, and the game's official description names all three outright: "BOSS FIGHTS: Face the War Lion, Undead Brute and Cerberus."

Where the boss fights fit in the arena loop

The bosses don't appear on their own — they are part of the same survival loop as everything else in the arena. A run starts with escaping prison, then fighting through the Colosseum in co-op squads of up to four players, surviving deadly waves of enemies along the way. The boss fights come at the top of that structure: they are where the game says you earn better rewards and prove your skill.

The waves leading up to them are the real filter. The game's own guidance is to build your strength in the gym first so you can handle the tougher waves — that preparation is what carries you into the boss encounters in fighting shape. Our GloryBound waves guide covers the wave progression in more detail, and the beginner guide walks through the run from the prison escape onward.

How to prepare before facing them

Preparation for GloryBound's waves and bosses rests on three confirmed systems: training, your class and your squad.

Checklist

  • Build strength in the gym

Start by training strength so you can handle the tougher waves ahead of the boss fights.

  • Master one of the three classes

Sword and shield gives solid defense in close combat, the spear gives you longer reach, and the bow lets you strike from a distance.

  • Team up in a squad of four

Co-op squads of up to 4 players can revive allies when they go down, keeping the squad alive through the waves and into the boss fights.

Pick the class style that matches how you want to survive, and see the GloryBound classes overview for the full breakdown. Training happens in the gym, and the game explicitly frames it as the way to handle tougher waves — the gym guide covers how training works.

Playing co-op changes the picture as well: reviving downed allies matters in a mode built around deadly waves and a boss waiting at the end of the run. The squads guide covers teaming up, and the revive walkthrough explains how picking allies back up works.

What the boss fights lead to

The boss fights are framed as the way to "earn better rewards and prove your skill." GloryBound's loot spans weapons and armor from Common all the way to Mythic rarity, and upgrades let you unlock armor sets, skills and powerful boons that fit your play style — see the loot guide and the rarity guide for more on the game's gear.

Beyond loot, conquering the arena unlocks hardcore mode, billed as the ultimate challenge. And if you want extras along the way, the developer directs players to their Discord for codes — current codes are maintained on our GloryBound codes page.
