GloryBound Strength Training: How to Train at the Gym and See Your Strength Rise

Last updated:

Strength in GloryBound is trained at the gym's bench-press station. Here's how to use the Push prompt and where to watch your Strength bar fill up.

Quick answer

Strength is trained in the gym: walk up to the bench-press station, spam the Push button (or press E fast), and watch the Strength 0 / 50 progress bar fill as you push.

  • The station shows the prompt 'Press E fast' together with an on-screen 'Push' button
  • Your progress is the 'Strength 0 / 50' bar at the bench press — it fills with every push
  • Gym training is the game's stated way to build strength before fighting arena waves

In GloryBound, building strength happens in the gym. The game's official description says it directly: "TRAINING: Build strength in the gym." Independent guides for the game agree on the same routine: you train in the gym to raise your strength before heading into the arena to fight waves of monsters and undead.

How to train at the bench press

The bench-press station is where a training session happens, and it is refreshingly simple:

  1. Find the bench-press station in the gym. When you get close, an interaction prompt reading "Press E fast" appears, together with an on-screen Push button.
  2. Push, and keep pushing. Every push you make drives your training forward — the interaction is built around repeating the push as fast as you can, which is exactly what the "Press E fast" prompt is asking for.
  3. Watch the Strength bar fill. Each push advances the Strength 0 / 50 progress bar displayed at the station, so you can see your session moving along in real time.

That is the whole loop: stand at the bench, spam pushes, and let the bar climb.

Where you see your strength go up

The place to watch your strength rise is the Strength 0 / 50 progress bar at the bench-press station itself. You do not need to open a separate menu or leave the station to check on it — the bar is shown right there while you train, and it fills as you perform pushes. If the bar is moving while you press, your training is working.

What else is in the training hall

The gym is not the only place to train. Around the training hall you will notice:

  • A barbell rack with floating guidance text that says "Grab a barbell!" — the game's own hint that there is more to pick up and train with.
  • Other training stations displaying multipliers such as "1.5x". The signs show the multiplier value but not what it applies to, so treat them as stations worth trying rather than a confirmed faster route — see what the station does when you use it.
  • A "SPARRING PIT" doorway, another area of the hall set aside for training activity.

You will also spot a REBIRTH SHRINE area inside the same building as the bench press. Only its presence is labeled — interacting with it and what it grants are part of the game's rebirth feature, which we cover separately in our GloryBound rebirth guide.

Why train before the arena

Gym training exists for a reason: the game's survival loop throws deadly waves at you in the arena, and the official description pairs "build strength in the gym" with the rest of the gladiator progression — classes, co-op squads, boss fights and loot. Guides for the game describe the same order of play: select a class, raise your strength through gym training, and then jump into the arena once you are ready.

So the practical rhythm is: train at the bench press until your strength has climbed, then take that strength into the waves — our GloryBound waves guide covers what awaits there, and the beginner guide walks through the whole early game. If you want to speed up your character's growth in general, active promo codes can give you an extra boost; the current list is maintained on our GloryBound codes page.
