GloryBound Progression Guide: Training, Upgrades and Rebirth
How GloryBound's growth route fits together: gym training, arena waves and bosses, loot upgrades, and rebirth to break your limits on the way to the Hall of Fame.
Quick answer
Work through GloryBound in one repeating order: train strength in the gym, fight deeper into the Colosseum's waves and bosses, turn the rewards into upgrades, and rebirth once you hit your limits to break through them.
GloryBound's progression looks like a pile of separate systems — a gym, a skill tree, a market, rebirth — but they connect into one route: get stronger, survive deeper into the Colosseum, spend the rewards on upgrades, and rebirth when you hit your limits to push past them. This guide walks that route in order, so you always know what to work on next — the route-at-a-glance section below breaks down each step and why it comes where it does.

The route at a glance
The loop has four working parts, and there's a practical order to them:
Priorities
- 1
Train strength in the gym
Training raises your strength, and that strength is what lets you handle the tougher waves waiting deeper in the arena — it's the starting step of the whole loop.
- 2
Fight waves and bosses in the Colosseum
Boss fights against the War Lion, Undead Brute and Cerberus are where the better rewards come from; waves of monsters and undead hordes are the climb up to them.
- 3
Upgrade with the loot you earn
Weapons and armor run from Common to Mythic rarity, and the next real power jump comes from unlocking armor sets, skills and boons that fit your play style.
- 4
Rebirth at your limits
Once you hit your limits, rebirth breaks through them and gives you a shot at the Hall of Fame — and conquering the arena unlocks Hardcore mode.
Step 1: pick your class, then build strength in the gym
GloryBound starts you off selecting one of three combat classes: gladiator, lancer or archer. The choice shapes how you fight. The training, upgrade and rebirth route below is the growth route this guide walks. If you want a closer look at the options, start with the GloryBound classes overview, or go straight to the gladiator, lancer or archer class guides.
Decision guide
Whichever class you pick, the gym is your first stop. Training there raises your strength, and that's not busywork: the arena's waves get tougher the deeper you go, and the progression is built so you start by building strength to handle them. The gym stays relevant after your first session too — if tougher waves start grinding you down, strength is the lever you're missing. Our GloryBound gym guide and strength training page cover that step in detail, and if you're brand new, the beginner guide walks the very first session.
Step 2: push into the Colosseum — waves, bosses and squads
Once your strength is keeping pace, the arena is where progression actually happens. GloryBound fights you in waves — monsters and undead hordes inside the Colosseum — and the big boss fights against the War Lion, Undead Brute and Cerberus earn better rewards. Boss fights are the milestones of that climb: the War Lion, the Undead Brute and Cerberus each sit at the top of the fight ladder and earn better rewards when you beat them. Our waves guide and bosses page cover the arena side in depth.
You don't have to climb it alone. GloryBound supports squads of four for co-op survival: you can revive allies when they go down and push through the deadly waves together, which is worth a lot on the waves and bosses that keep knocking you flat. The squads guide and the page on reviving teammates explain how that works.
Step 3: turn rewards into upgrades
Rewards only matter because of what they unlock. The loot layer comes first: weapons and armor range from Common all the way up to Mythic rarity, so a big part of progression is steadily replacing your gear with rarer pieces. The loot guide, rarity guide, weapons, armor and chests pages cover that layer.
The bigger power jumps come from the upgrade systems stacked on top of that loot: armor sets, skills and powerful boons that fit your play style. Between arena runs, two more systems shape the plan — the skill tree, where you plan your upgrades, and the market, where you trade supplies. Our skills guide and boons page cover the unlock systems themselves.
Several of these upgrades take cash, and working codes are the game's shortcut for this layer: they provide boosts for faster upgrades, better loot, and the cash needed to unlock skills and armor sets. The maintained list of current codes lives on the GloryBound codes page, and our cash guide covers the money side.
Step 4: rebirth when you hit your limits
Every upgrade route bottoms out eventually, and that's what rebirth is for: once you hit your limits, you can rebirth to break through them and aim for a spot in the Hall of Fame. GloryBound frames rebirth around hitting your limits rather than a published milestone, so treat it as the answer to the plateau — the point where your current strength and upgrades stop moving you forward. Our rebirth page covers that system on its own.
And there's something beyond rebirth: after you conquer the arena, you unlock Hardcore mode, the game's ultimate challenge. Between the Hall of Fame and Hardcore mode, the top of the route gives long-term progress something concrete to aim at — our hardcore mode page explains what it involves.
Knowing where you are in the route
The loop is the same for everyone, but the right next action depends on where you're standing. Use your current situation to pick the next move:
| Where you are | What to work on next |
|---|---|
| Just started, class picked | Train in the gym — strength is the gate to the tougher waves ahead |
| Waves feeling manageable | Push deeper into the Colosseum and chase the boss fights for better rewards |
| Rewards and loot coming in | Upgrade: unlock armor sets, skills and boons, plan the skill tree, trade at the market |
| Strength and upgrades plateaued | Rebirth to break through your limits |
| Arena conquered | Hardcore mode is unlocked for the ultimate challenge |
Once the loop clicks, progression stops being a list of systems and becomes a rhythm: train, fight, upgrade, and rebirth when you hit the ceiling — with the Hall of Fame and Hardcore mode waiting at the top.
