GloryBound Waves Guide: The Arena Loop and How to Survive Longer
How the GloryBound arena loop works, plus what to do before and between waves — class picks, gym training, squads of four, bosses and upgrades — to survive longer.
GloryBound's own guidance is to master a class and build your gym strength before the first wave, so you can handle the tougher waves ahead — and the upgrades you lock in as you progress keep that growth going.
Quick answer
The GloryBound arena loop is: prepare before entering, survive waves of enemies in the Colosseum, beat bosses for better rewards, then upgrade your strength and gear so the next, tougher waves don't end your run.
- Before waves: master a class — sword and shield, spear, or bow — and train in the gym to grow stronger.
- During waves: fight through the Colosseum, and in co-op revive downed squadmates instead of losing them.
- As you progress: collect better weapons and armor, and unlock armor sets, skills and boons that fit your play style.
- Boss fights against the war lion, the undead brute and Cerberus can be fought to earn better rewards.

How the arena loop works
GloryBound is a gladiator arena survival game on Roblox: you break free from prison and battle your way through a Roman Colosseum filled with waves of enemies and fierce bosses. The loop that carries you through a run has three repeating parts:
- Fight the waves. Every run puts you against waves of enemies in the Colosseum, with big boss fights among them.
- Earn better rewards. The boss fights — the war lion, the undead brute and Cerberus — can be fought to earn better rewards.
- Upgrade. Rewards become gym strength, better weapons and armor, and unlocked armor sets, skills and boons — and that growth is what lets you handle the tougher waves ahead.
A run that ends early is usually not just about the fighting itself. The game's own guidance frames class mastery and gym training as what lets you handle the tougher waves ahead.
Before the waves: pick a class and train
The two things worth doing before you get deep into the waves both happen outside the arena.
Master one of the classes. Each class covers a different way to fight:
- Sword and shield — solid defense in close combat.
- Spear — longer reach.
- Bow — striking from a distance.
Pick the style that fits how you want to play and get good with it; the fuller breakdown lives in our GloryBound classes guide.
Build your strength in the gym. Training in the gym is how you grow stronger, and that strength is what lets you handle the tougher waves ahead. It is the single clearest preparation step in the game — see the GloryBound gym guide for how training works.
During the waves: solo fighting and squads of four
You can push through the waves on your own, or team up with friends: GloryBound supports co-op survival in squads of four. In a squad, when an ally goes down, you can revive them and keep pushing through the deadly waves together. That revive mechanic brings a downed teammate back into the fight. More detail is in our guide to reviving teammates and the squads guide.
Boss fights: the war lion, the undead brute and Cerberus
Mixed in with the waves are the game's big boss fights: the war lion, the undead brute and Cerberus. These are the fights that can be fought to earn better rewards, so they are worth taking on. For what each boss brings to the arena, see our GloryBound bosses page.
As you progress: gear, skills and boons
The upgrade side of the loop is just as important to surviving longer. Weapons and armor in GloryBound range in rarity from common all the way up to mythic, and as you collect them you can unlock armor sets, skills and boons that fit your play style. The source material doesn't tie specific drops to specific waves, so treat every stage of a run as a chance to improve your loadout rather than waiting on one magic wave.
Where to focus:
- Loot — better weapons and armor are the backbone of surviving tougher waves; our GloryBound loot guide covers what to chase, and the rarity guide explains the common-to-mythic tiers.
- Skills and boons — unlocked alongside gear, and worth picking to match your class and play style; see the skills guide and the boons page.
- Codes — working codes grant extra boosts that help with faster upgrades, better loot and the cash needed to unlock skills and armor sets. The maintained code list lives on the Codes page.
When you hit your limits
Progression doesn't stop when a run does. Once you hit your limits, you can rebirth to break through and keep growing stronger for your next visit to the Colosseum — the details are in our rebirth guide. And once you've conquered the arena, hardcore mode unlocks as a harder challenge for the ultimate test.
