GloryBound Gym: How to Start Training Strength

Last updated:

How to use the gym in GloryBound: find the bench-press station in the training hall, spam the Push prompt, and drive your Strength bar from 0 toward 50.

Quick answer

To start training strength in GloryBound, go to the gym in the lobby/training hall, walk up to the bench-press station, and spam pushes whenever the 'Press E fast' prompt appears — each push drives the 'Strength 0 / 50' progress bar.

  • Find the gym inside the lobby/training hall area.
  • Stand at the bench-press station until the 'Press E fast' prompt appears.
  • Spam pushes (press E fast / tap the on-screen Push button) and watch the Strength bar climb from 0 toward 50.

The gym is GloryBound's designated strength-training location — the game's own description lists it as a core feature: "TRAINING: Build strength in the gym." It sits inside the lobby/training hall area you see when you load in, alongside class selection and other lobby features covered in the GloryBound beginner guide.

Why train strength first

GloryBound is a gladiator arena survival game: you escape prison, fight through the Colosseum, and face deadly waves of enemies. Creator guides suggest starting by building your strength in the gym through training so you can handle the tougher arena waves ahead. In other words, the gym is the intended first step of your progression route — get a strength base before pushing deeper into wave survival.

How to start your first strength session

  1. Head to the gym in the lobby/training hall area.
  2. Walk up to the bench-press station. When you're close enough, the interaction prompt "Press E fast" appears.
  3. Spam pushes. Press E fast, or tap the on-screen "Push" button — the interaction is a rapid-tapping test, not a single press.
  4. Watch the Strength bar. Each push drives a "Strength 0 / 50" progress bar, which climbs as you keep spamming pushes.

That's the whole immediate interaction: prompt, push, bar. Keep tapping as long as you want to train; the bar tracks your progress toward 50. A recorded bench-press session shows the rhythm end to end, from the 'Press E fast' prompt to the Strength bar climbing and the level-up:

What else is inside the gym

The bench press is only one station in the hall. As you look around the gym you'll also find:

  • Other training stations — some display multipliers such as "1.5x", suggesting they're higher-tier spots in the same hall.
  • A barbell rack — floating guidance text reading "Grab a barbell!" points to it, so the game nudges you toward that station as well.
  • A "SPARRING PIT" doorway — a separate area within the same gym.
  • The "REBIRTH SHRINE" — sitting inside the same gym, this connects to GloryBound's rebirth system for breaking your limits once you've hit them; see the GloryBound rebirth guide.

The stations showing multipliers like "1.5x" and the barbell rack were observed in the training hall, but how their payouts compare to the bench press hasn't been tested — treat the bench press as the reliable starting point and explore the other stations as you go.

Where gym training fits in the bigger picture

Strength training is the entry point of GloryBound's progression loop: build strength in the gym, take that base into arena waves, pick up loot and upgrades along the way, and eventually turn to rebirth when you hit your limits. For the full training system beyond your first session, see the GloryBound strength training guide.
